Tips on Buying Student Air Tickets
Because of competition, companies came up with discounted student air tickets so that we can enjoy traveling without having to spend a fortune. As a consumer, you always have to be smart and you can do this by checking student plane tickets and regular tickets. Sometimes you get better deals with regular tickets when there's a promo. It wouldn't hurt if you will check with the airlines company itself. Continental Airlines has a frequent flyer program for students. This is great for those who travel a lot. Student discounts can significantly reduce the price of an airline ticket to the point where they just break even.
If you know you're exact return date then there's no reason for you to buy a one way ticket. Round trip student air tickets come up cheaper compared to those that are purchased separately.
You can just use the internet to do a massive search for travel deals or discounts. One of my favorite sites is Statravel. It is known to be the largest student travel agency. They also offer cut-rate promotions of flights with plenty of airlines to choose from and what's great about it is they're packaged with hotel accommodations. Car rentals can also be found in the website. Travel related services like loans, international IDs and travel insurance can also be found in Statravel.
Have you ever heard about stand by flights? This simply means that you will stand by if somebody does not show up or cancels the flight. Some airline companies actually prioritize students for this kind of flight. The holder of the ticket can get on board at a cut-price fare if there is an unclaimed seat. This will make student air tickets so much cheaper. The only problem with stand by flights is that they don't offer any guarantee. You're playing with luck and chance in here. You can only hope that you're not going to be stranded in the airport for days because of the unavailability of flights.
